You are called.

Have you ever heard the term “he has been called” or “she has been called”?

“He has a calling on his life” or “she has a calling on her life”?

Have you ever wondered what it means to be called?

For the most part it sounds so selective.

Like sitting at an auction with a ticket just waiting for your number to be called.

The truth is we have ALL been called.

God has a purpose for your life. Very specific.

You have a destiny, and He has predestined you since the beginning of time for such a time as this where He will call you to live according to His purpose.

There is no greater call than the call of God.

There is no greater purpose than to fulfill the very one God has made you for.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”.

Romans 8 28:30

We all walk this earth searching daily for answers for what we were made for and what our destiny is, yet so many of us miss it.

Your calling is NOT something you want to miss in this life.

May it be that at the end of this life, you know that you have carried out your purpose and used every gift and talent that you have been blessed with, all for the good works that have been set before you.

We have been called to a Holy life and not by anything we have done but purely by God’s grace.

“He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,”

2 Timothy 1:9

What have we been called to?

Firstly above all else we have been called by God into a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Corinthians 1:9

“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord”.

This is our ultimate calling and the foundation of our calling.

We have been reunited with God our heavenly father through our relationship with JESUS. Once you find God and He reveals Himself to you, you will understand the greatness of answering this call. You will see that answering the call of your Heavenly Father and Mighty Creator is the greatest call you will ever hear. Open your eyes, open your heart and listen.

Secondly we have been called to continue the redemptive work of Jesus Christ here on earth.

Before Jesus had left he had told His disciples to go to all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Many of us pursue our relationship with Jesus but stop at taking the next step to complete His work here on earth. For some of us it’s the other way around and we pursue ministry and the work of Christ but not Jesus himself.

Without Christ himself being the cornerstone of our lives we will fail and fall. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus the perfector and the finisher of your faith as you run this race with perseverance completeing the good work He has called you to.

2 Peter 1:10

“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble”

Are you making every effort to confirm your calling?

We need to make every effort to pursue and confirm our calling and in doing so we will NEVER stumble. What a great promise this is!

To pursue your calling and the purpose God has made you for, you need to surrender. Ask God what His PURPOSE is for your life? What has He called you to do here on earth? Be brave as this will be be one of the most courageous prayers you will ever pray. Many times we are told to be of good courage, God will lead you and guide you.

Serve others where you are for Jesus and serve with love. God will equip you and appoint you and the right time, He will anoint you and send His spirit to guide and empower you.

Isaiah 6:8-13

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying. Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said “Here I am. Send me!”

God is raising up a mighty generation. Commissioning warriors and soldiers of the cross to walk in power and love. We need to be a people who are brave enough to say here I am Lord send me, I want to fulfil your purpose in my life for you and for your Kingdom. I will go, send me.

God will show you things you never dreamed possible but most importantly He goes with you!

Ephesians 1:18

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”,
